How Keeping a Diary Could Save you Thousands of Dollars

It can be difficult to identify the weaknesses in your finances, especially if you are busy with work and home life. Saving money is not easy as prices rise and pay is frozen. A great place to start is to keep a diary of all your outgoings. By writing down every cent you spend, you will very quickly build up a picture of where all your money is going and what your weaknesses are.

It is important to write down all of your other outgoings too, including direct debits and bills. This will show you if you’re spending too much on your phone bill, gym membership or any other expense you can do without. You’ll also be able to see what you spend your cash on once you take it out of the ATM. So whatever your pitfalls are when it come to spending, there is always something to cut back on, and this is the time to do it.
